Strength and Dignity

Proverbs 31:25

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future.” (Proverbs 31:25)

The biggest reason our house is a home is due to my wonderful wife. I don’t say this casually. She puts her heart into all things, the things in front of me, but more importantly, the quiet little things that can easily go unnoticed. And as Tom Waits says about his wife, I say about mine:  “She’s the person by which I measure all others. She’s who you want with you in a foxhole. She doesn’t like the limelight, but she is an incandescent presence on everything we work on together.”

May God always give us the strength and humility to love those closest to us with a sense of wonder and awe.
