Song of Solomon 2:1-17

Love is a language all its own. It is the universal language which everyone understands. Whether the Song of Solomon is interpreted as the love between a man and a woman or the love of God for the individual or the church, I cannot miss the exuberance of the language. Biblical love is the revelation of God Himself. Consequently, all human expressions are related to that nucleus.

This reality has become more and more tangible to me over the years due to the ever-kinetic love of my wife. This painting sprang from a lazy day of me thinking about her and this particular verse.
